Cannes 2026 : poster of the Film Festival seen by LoBO GraphiK

For the 79th edition of the Cannes Film Festival, artist Lobo Graphik presents a singular vision of the poster, inspired by an iconic photograph by Steve Schapiro — Barbra Streisand in the Bathtub (1974), taken in Los Angeles. The original image has been retouched and readjusted in order to adapt perfectly to the display format, while respecting its composition and depth. LoBO GraphiK adds its graphic vision: black and white marked, with the figure 79 in transparent shaded pink and the text in dark blue-green, in harmony with the palette of the official catalogue of the festival 2026. The result is a contemporary, intimate and clean reading that highlights both the original work and the vision of this unofficial poster of the 2026 Cane Festival! A tribute to Barbra Streisand echoing the festival news This edition of the Cannes Film Festival will also pay tribute to Barbra Streisand, who will receive a Palme d'or d'honneur for his entire career at the closing ceremony on 23 May 2026 — rewarding its lasting influence in cinema and music. The 79th edition of the festival will be held from 12 to 23 May 2026. The official announcement of the selection of films will take place on April 9, 2026 to the press and the public, a few days before the official poster of this new edition is revealed. Along with his international jury, he will be responsible for choosing the Palme d'or 2026 and the main awards of the award. Park Chan-wook recently presented his latest film, No Other Choice, a satirical thriller worn by Lee Byung-hun. Last Night in Cannes 17 May – Cannes Film Festival 2025

The 17th of May in Cannes was a night of contrasts: from the cinema engaged to the confidential festival, to the most surprising projects of the Quinzaine. A dense evening, under the sign of sharing, reflection and creative energy. Projection of « Orwell 2 + 2 = 5 » Raoul Peck – Intimistic, deep, necessary I had the honour of attending the screening of Raoul Peck's new film, Orwell 2 + 2 = 5, distributed by The Pact. This incisive documentary focuses on the last days of George Orwell, to better draw the contours of a contemporary society under surveillance, conditioned by new languages and power structures. A work that is both sober and fulgurating, and a dreadful news. The evening that followed was like the film: in a small committee, in a discreet and professional setting. A privileged moment of reunion, discussions, where the film team was present. I had the joy of finding a friend actor Eriq Ebouaney, a faithful supporter of the engaged cinema, as well as the great photographer Kriss Dewitte, whose black and white photographs capture with rare sensitivity moments of truth. You can discover his work in the Cannes Festival special edition of The Warp magazine. Last Night in Cannes 16 May – Japan, party and meetings

Partage d'article

Here is the summary of this electric night, waiting for our detailed reports in pictures and videos.
