The Cannes Festival 2014, 67th edition of the festival, took place from 14 to at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes.

The president of the jury was Jane Campion and the master of ceremonies, Lambert Wilson.

Nuri Bilge Ceylan's film Winter Sleep won the Palme d'or.

The organizers announced on January 7, 2014 that New Zealand filmmaker Jane Campion will chair the jury of feature films. She is the only winner of the Palme d'or (for The Piano Lesson), the first filmmaker to hold the Palme d'or of the short film (for An Exercise in Discipline – Peel) and the only personality of the cinema to have received these two distinctions. She was president of the jury of short films and Cinéfondation in 2013.

24 January 2014, the Festival announces that the film Grace de Monaco by Olivier Dahan will open the 67th edition. Nicole Kidman, who plays Grace Kelly, and Tim Roth, Prince Rainier III, play the main roles. Kidman was sworn in in the official competition the previous year, and Roth was the jury's chairman of the Un Certain Regard section in 2012 and the Camera d'or in 2004. He was also a member of the panel of feature films in 2006.

Thursday, March 6, 2014 The names of the jury members of the Cinéfondation and Short Film section, chaired by Iranian director Abbas Kiarostami, are announced. He was a member of the jury for feature films in 1993, short films in 2002 and president of the Camera d'or in 2005. Frenchman Noémie Lvovsky and Mahamat Saleh Haroun (member of the jury of feature films in 2011) are among them.

The poster for the 67th Cannes Festival was unveiled on April 15, 2014. Designed by Hervé Chigioni and her graphic designer Gilles Frappier, she represents Marcello Mastroianni with her look over black glasses, taken from a photogram of Federico Fellini's film, Eight and a half which was presented in the Official Selection in 1963. In addition, Mastroianni is one of the few actors to have won two Men's Performance Awards (at the Cannes Film Festival 1970 and 1987).

The Cinéfondation et court film selection was unveiled on April 16, 2014. On April 17, 2014, Gilles Jacob and Thierry Frémaux announced the official selection of feature films. A supplement to the selection was added on April 30th.

The contemplative vision, the requirement of style or the bias taken author of the staging (which Les Inrocks considers to be an encrypted academicism, nestled in an unassailable cultural nobility) raised doubts as to the ability of the film to know a wide commercial exploitation and to interest the general public.
