Cannes, mai 2022 – Je n’ai jamais aimé me mettre en avant, forcément je suis photographe et je préfère prendre les gens en photo; mais aujourd’hui, je vais mettre un coup de projecteur comme on dit dans les médias sur mes plus beaux souvenirs, et revenir sur ces trente années flamboyantes passées au Festival du film de Cannes, avec tous les moments forts qui m’ont marqué, et ceux qui l’étaient moins, moins nombreux quand même… Retour sur mes 30 Festivals de Cannes. CITYZEN CANNES : LES DÉBUTS Mes amis me surnomme souvent « Mister Cannes » depuis qu’un reportage dans l’émission qui 7 à 8 sur TF1 en 2004 me consacrait un portrait réalisé par Emmanuel Reitz, présenté par Laurence Ferrari (photo de gauche) je fête, cette année cet « anniversaire » au festival, avec ma première venue en 1992. CANNES 1992 Invité au Festival de Cannes en 1992 pour la première fois, par mes collègues qui tenaient le bureau des techniciens du cinéma au Palais; moi, je pensais simplement faire un tour sur la croisette derrière et manger une pizza sur le port… Mais j’ai eu a la chance à ma grande surprise d’être invité pour monter les célèbres marches pour la première fois, avec une veste prêtée, une cheminse achétée vite fait au Monoprix et surtout, le film « Basic Instinct » aux côtés de Michael Douglas et la sulfureuse Sharon Stone que l’on découvrait ce jour-là . La fameuse montée des marches avec le film de Tarantino « Pulp fiction » avec John travolta, Bruce Willis, Uma Thurman qui remporteront la Palme d’or ! Renccontres régulières avec les jumeaux Bogdanov, qui passaient régulièrement au Festival… RIP Une des rares fois ou le père et le fils furent ensemble à Cannes, en 2006 un an avant la disparition de Jean-Pierre Cassel en 2007; RIP. La délirante Alessandra Sublet quand elle passait nous voir sur la plage du Majestic. Faye Dunaway (Bonnie and Clyde) au Palais des Festival en 2005. L’affranchi Ray Liotta au bar du Carlton, stressé avant la montée des marches. La ravissante Salma Hayek au dîner d’ouverture en 2005 (Je ressemble à un maître d’hôtel) CANNES 1992-2022 Après la projection, on a la chance (surtout moi qui ne connaissait presque personne ! ) d’être invité au Jimmy’s la boite de Régine au Casino du Palais (oui, car mes amis travaillant au Palais, avaient déjà toutes les invits des soirées des films) ou se déroulait la fête du film; lorsque j’ai serré la main de Michel Douglas et dansé à coté de Sharon Stone; je vivais un rêve éveillé… premières coupes de champagne (que je voulaient payer !) mais en plus c’était Open bar! il faut dire qu’avant dans les années 90 il n’y avait pas toutes les marques présentes sur la Croisette; il n’y avait parfois qu’une où deux soirées dans les villas; il fallait pas se manquer, sinon c’était la pizza sur le Port à la Taverne Sicilienne, ouverte toute la nuit ! (photo de gauche: STING Cocktail au Majestic avec Sa bôite de prod. very cool) » Premières photos…, premières folies… Cinéphile absolu, j’ai su que je reviendrai, ça fait 30 ans que ça dure ! « Photographe passionné, j’ai toujours fais des photos sur les tournages, pour les avant-premières, et bien sûr au Festival de Cannes; mais pas sur les Marches pour les photos officielles, ou caché dans les hôtels pour traquer les stars; non simplement avec mon compact en poche, dans les soirées avec mes amis et les comédiens que je connaissais! Dîners d’ouvertures, et de clôture, cocktails, soirées de films dans les villas je suis allé partout ! J’ai assisté aux plus grandes fêtes, et rencontré presque toutes les stars du cinéma international ! Tous les souvenirs de ces moments excitants, les veilles des cérémonies d’ouvertures des festivals comme le jour ou j’étais derrière le Palais des festivals, et qu’un voiture s’approche, en descends Edouard Baer, qui me lance, salut, le « serial blogueur » ! Une autre fois, je téléphonais au bord le piscine du Majestic, et une main se pose sur mon épaule me demandant » tout va bien? » je me retourne et découvre Nicolas Bedos, qui devait être plus stréssé que moi car le lendemain il présentait la cérémonie. Je me souviens aussi en 2013, attendant une amie devant l’Agora pour le dîner d’ouverture entendre mon nom au milieu de la foule: « Hugo Blog! » et Duduje, Jean Dujardin fraîchement oscarisé vient me faire une bise après avoir fait des selfies avec les spectateurs présents…Tous ces moments liés au événements du cinéma mondial, fourmillent dans ma tête, comme le champagne que nous buvions après! Les acteurs me connaissent et me reconnaissent; je fais ainsi des photos uniques qu’on ne voit « Nulle part ailleurs » que sur Le Blog de Cannes ! Je deviens « Insider » je ne suis pas au Festival de Cannes, je suis dans le Festival de Cannes! Actuellement,je prépare une liste des soirées les plus folles; car « à l’époque » on utilisait des agendas papier et je retrouve les noms de ces fêtes où j’étais invité, où pas… Les plus marquantes furent celles de Kusturica improvisée sur la plage derrière le Palais, avec des feu de bois et les musiques tziganes, ou la soirée Moulin Rouge de Baz Luhrmann (qui présente son film ELVIS cette année) avec Nicole Kidman recrée sur le port de cannes, des serveurs nous amenaient des bouteilles de champagnes dans les box comme au Moulin Rouge! Matrix sur le port également avec de nombreuses stars Keanu Reeves, Kevin Kostner… et surtout la soirée des 60 ans qui a réunit tous les réalisateurs vivants, qui avaient obtenu

La mairie de Cannes a officiellement annoncé lors d’une conférence de presse son affection pour les NFT LE PATRIMOINE MIS À L’HONNEUR Lors du Festival de la publicité Cannes Lions, du 20 au 24 juin, la mairie proposera aux enchères et sous format de NFT (jetons non fongibles) dix de ses sites patrimoniaux. Une première en Europe ! il sera possible d’acheter la Croisette, le Vieux-Port, le Suquet, l’ile Ste Marguerite où le marché Forville ! Ce n’est pas une version cannoise du Monopoly Mais une version 3D en NFT. La mairie de Cannes a annoncé mettre en vente plusieurs de ses sites patrimoniaux, sous format NFT. Une volonté, pour la ville de devenir «la première ville européenne à numériser les sites emblématiques de son territoire» et Investir dans le MetaversLe Palais des festivals, le Vieux-Port ou encore le plus célèbre marché de Cannes vont être numérisés, transformés en Image NFT et vendus. La municipalité explique vouloir ainsi « investir le métavers » où les acheteurs pourront implanter leurs achats associés à des certificats d’authenticité. Le Metavers est réapparu dans les media, depuis que Mark Zuckerberg à changé le nom de Facebook, en META ! Le Metavers correspond a une future version d’Internet où des espaces virtuel sont crée, un univers virtuel dont les accès ce font par des casques qui virtualise un univers en 3D de plus en plus réaliste ! LES BÉNÉFICES DES NFT PARTIRONT A LA FONDATION CANNES POUR L’ENVIRONNEMENT Onze sites vont être enregistrés numériquement, dont le Port Canto, l’île Sainte-Marguerite et son Fort royal, la Malmaison, le Vieux-Port, le marché Forville, le Suquet, la Pointe Croisette et le campus Georges Méliès. Pour réaliser cette opération, la ville indique faire appel à la société cannoise Pertimm, « spécialisée dans l’intelligence artificielle ». Les NFT seront mis en vente à l’occasion du Cannes Lions international festival of creativity, du 20 au 24 juin 2022 sous la mise en place d’une enchère ou les 10 acheteurs les plus généreux s’en verront alors propriétaires. Afin de susciter l’intérêt du publique, la mairie offre aux 10 acquéreurs (la vente comportera 10 NFT) une reproduction 3D du NFT acheté et donc du lieu concerné. Un 11ème NFT ce sera remis à un Cannois tiré au sort. « Une part des sommes récoltées sera reversée à la Fondation Cannes et servira au développement de projets pour la protection de l’environnement », précise le Maire LR David Lisnard. Un jeton non fongible (JNF1 ou NFT4, de l’anglais non-fungible token) est une donnée valorisée composée d’un type de jeton cryptographique qui représente un objet (souvent numérique), auquel est rattachée une identité numérique (reliée à au moins un propriétaire). Cette donnée est stockée et authentifiée grâce à un protocole de chaîne de blocs (blockchain), qui lui accorde par là-même sa première valeur. Un jeton non fongible est souvent présenté comme un titre de propriété, consigné dans un registre numérique public et décentralisé. LES CASINOS PARTOUCHES VONT ACCEPTER LES CRYPTO MONNAIES Patrick Partouche, a annoncé que ses casinos accepteraient les cryptomonnaies « dès cette saison ». Le groupe va également créer une filiale dédiée à des projets dans le métavers et lance «Joker Club», une collection de NFT permettant d’obtenir des « avantages » dans ses casinos et hôtels. Nommé Inner Beauty (Beauté Intérieure), le jeton est en vente sur la plateforme de crypto-art SuperRare depuis un peu plus de trois semaines, avec un “prix de réserve” de dix ethereum (environ 30.000 dollars selon le cours de cette cryptomonnaie). Une fois ce montant atteint, les enchères dureront 24 heures. “Mon docteur m’a dit: ‘J’aimerais garder vos calculs rénaux pour en faire une analyse’”, a expliqué David Cronenberg à ses fans sur le site d’échanges. Finalement, le réalisateur de 79 ans refuse car il les “trouve trop beaux pour être détruits”, et décide de photographier les 18 caillots expulsés de son corps d’en faire un NFT. Si seul l’acheteur du NFT est considéré comme détenteur de l’œuvre, elle reste accessible à tous sur Internet. L’idée d’Inner Beauty provient de son film Dead Ringers (1988), consacré à des jumeaux gynécologues qui partagent tout, jusqu’aux femmes. “À un moment donné, un des jumeaux dit à l’autre: ‘Je ne comprends pas pourquoi il n’y a pas de concours de beauté dédiés à l’intérieur des corps’”, se souvient Cronenberg. Il s’agit aussi d’une référence à son nouveau film, Crimes du futur, avec Viggo Mortensen, en course pour la Palme d’or au Festival de Cannes (17 au 28 mai). L’acteur subira “une chirurgie en direct sur son propre corps”, révèle le cinéaste. David Cronenberg n’est pas le seul réalisateur à investir le monde des NFT. L’Américain David Lynch avait lancé une série de tokens avec le groupe de rock Interpol en octobre dernier. À Hollywood, les ventes de NFT sont même devenues une source de financement pour des films indépendants. Cronenberg n’a pas indiqué si une version physique d’Inner Beauty accompagnerait le NFT, dont la plupart restent des créations numériques. “Mais normalement, c’est l’usage”, a indiqué un représentant de la plateforme de crypto-art SuperRare, interrogé par l’AFP.
