ZULU with Orlando Bloom closes 66th CANNES FESTIVAL
It is director Jérôme Salle ( Anthony Zimmer , Largo Winch) who has the honour of closing this 66th edition of the Cannes Film Festival with his film ZULU. Projected out of competition, just after the announcement of an expected list, released with elegance from the mouth of our president Steven Spielberg, the film plunges us into the violent atmosphere of the old demons of apartheid. In Cape Town, two criminal cops – Forest Whitaker and Orlando Bloom – face the appearance of a drug that triggers morbid impulses. A first murder – a white girl – puts them on the track of a little drug dealer. The investigation will plunge the two policemen back into the dark hours of South Africa and the delirious plans of the Afrikaaner extremists. The screening is followed by an evening organised in partnership with Pathé at the Chivas club, in the presence of the entire film team. Julie Ferrier makes her film in Cannes!
Julie Ferrier came to take a little ride on the Croisette between two shots. She triumphs right now in sentimental comedy « The Flower of Age » Nick Quinn's first feature film or she takes the lead with Pierre Arditi and Jean-Pierre Marielle who give her the replica. He is a TV producer (Pierre Arditi), forced to welcome his father (Jean-Pierre Marielle), who will see disembarkation in his life Zana (Julie Ferrier), an aide-careant with questionable references... Still as funny she went to Cannes to talk about her five upcoming films in 2013! Fans are waiting everywhere at the hotel exit. She played the game and, was photographed in the dark room of the Marriott hotel, then she went to the little Club du Carlton or she discovered Vincent Bottezzi's shoes a young designer who offered her a nice pair to ride the stairs! She also left with a gift from « Cannes Blog » since she didn't have glasses, a nice MUSE pair « Lady », as well as a nice Tiquetonne cap. For dinner «For the Love of Cinema», which took place at the prestigious Cap-Eden-Roc hotel in Cape Antibes which welcomed some two hundred personalities, including actors Naomi Watts, Eric Dane, Pierfrancesco Favino, José María Yazpik, Christoph Waltz and Moritz Bleibtreu, as well as singers Aloe Blacc and John Helliwellet... Some five hundred guests took part in the party closing the evening and attended the private concert of the famous jazz band Jamiroquai. The evening will take place on Saturday 17 May and will be organized by the Department of International Trade Promotion of the Royal Thai Ministry of Trade, the Thai Night 2014 gala evening will focus on the action cinema, with the theme: « Thailand: Heart of Action · Global Voices« . On this occasion, guests will attend an exclusive performance by Muay Boran (traditional Thai boxing) played by the troupe of « Muay Thai Live », the new show on the history of Thai favorite martial art that is currently furious in Bangkok. Action and horror films helped make 2013 an exceptional year for Thai cinema, whose cinema revenues almost doubled in just one year to reach over US$60 million.
