23rd AmfAR Gala May 19 Eden Roc, Cap d'Antibes Katy Perry, Sharon Stone and Adrien Brody will co-chair the 23rd AmfAR Gala, the American AIDS Foundation, held each year in France for the Cannes Film Festival. Charity Gala « Cinema against AIDS » 900 guests will gather including many personalities at Eden Roc, the palace of Cape Antibes. Actors Milla Jovovich and Kevin Spacey, the top model Heidi Klum, Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein also responded to the invitation of stylist Kenneth Cole, president of the American AIDS Foundation, created by Liz Taylor. Last year (2015) Sharon Stone shined by her absence at the AmFar Gala. The honorary president of this charity evening for many years, had not made the trip to Cannes being held in the filming of her last film in the United States. It is with great joy that she returns to Cannes! American singer Katy Perry will perform some songs during the evening. ZULU with Orlando Bloom closes 66th CANNES FESTIVAL
It is director Jérôme Salle ( Anthony Zimmer , Largo Winch) who has the honour of closing this 66th edition of the Cannes Film Festival with his film ZULU. Projected out of competition, just after the announcement of an expected list, released with elegance from the mouth of our president Steven Spielberg, the film plunges us into the violent atmosphere of the old demons of apartheid. In Cape Town, two criminal cops – Forest Whitaker and Orlando Bloom – face the appearance of a drug that triggers morbid impulses. A first murder – a white girl – puts them on the track of a little drug dealer. The investigation will plunge the two policemen back into the dark hours of South Africa and the delirious plans of the Afrikaaner extremists. The screening is followed by an evening organised in partnership with Pathé at the Chivas club, in the presence of the entire film team. ZULU Closing ceremony 2013 Cane Festival
Good news : « Zulu », the film by Jérôme Salle with Orlando Bloom will indeed be closing for this 66th edition. WORLD FIRST : PIRATES OF CARIBBEAN4 Cannes film Festival
Walt Disney presents : Pirates of the Caribbean 4 On Stranger Tides will screen out of competition at the French festival on 14 May, world premiere. While the Disney film might not seem like standard Cannes fare at first glance, the festival does have a tradition of hosting more commercial Hollywood work. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, for example, had its world premier at Cannes in 2008. The decision could raise the event Pirates of the Caribbean: At World The much anticipated Pirates of the Caribbean 4 will be presented as a world premiere at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival. On May 14, a few privileged people will discover Jack Sparrow's new adventures. The others will have to wait until May 18. The film directed by Rob Marshall (to whom the Chicago and Nine musicals are due) with Johnny Depp will be presented on May 14 with the entire film team. In this 4th part of Jack Sparrow's adventures, Johnny Depp gives the replica to Penelope Cruz or Astrid Bergès-Frisbay, a young premiere that also plays in La fille du sumpatier de and with Daniel Auteuil.
