Welcome Party Cannes Festival at Majestic Beach
Dear readers, if you thought that the opening night of the Cannes Film Festival was going to be as predictable as a Hollywood action film, you must be mistaken! The welcome evening on Majestic beach was anything but conventional. By 8:30 pm, the evening started, not with the usual pop of a bottle of champagne, but with the refreshing pshhh of a Spritz helas cocktail, not very well prepared (see photo). But honestly, it just added charm to the event, giving a staggered note to this glamorous evening whose themed buffet was as beautiful as it was delicate for the palate. Live music then took over, adding notes of funk, jazz and hit to the Mediterranean Sea night symphony. The live band was absolutely electrifying, transforming the beach into a real open-air discotheque. The voices of the duo singers echoed the waves, creating an undeniable festive atmosphere. The evening continued with laughter, shrapnel and clumsy dance steps on the sand. At midnight, while the last notes of music fainted in the air, there was general satisfaction among the guests of the cinema. Yes, this year's welcoming evening may have lacked champagne, but it certainly showed a sparkling spirit and contagious joy. And isn't this the very essence of the Cannes Film Festival? A celebration of the unexpected, art and, above all, pleasure. This is an evening that will remain engraved in our memories. But then, you tell me, where were the gifts?

Plages et Terrasses VIP du 71e Festival de Cannes Les meilleurs spots pour vos rendez-vous où vous détendre sur les plages et terrasses de Cannes. PLAGE MAJESTIC 71 La société A.D.R, société événementielle, spécialisée dans les événements haut de gamme, aménage chaque année la plage de l’hôtel Barrière Majestic (qui porte le numéro de l’édition du festival, cette année 71), elle demeure la plage la plus élégante des lieux VIP de le Croisette durant toute la durée du festival de Cannes. Le 20º Shanghaï International Film Festival (#SIFF), un des plus grands festivals asiatiques, ne s’y est pas trompé en confiant à A.D.R cette année la promotion de leur présence, en particulier au marché du film . «Pour vivre heureux, vivons cachés» est un peu ce qui définit l’accès confidentiel à cette plage qu’on ne voit pas immédiatement depuis la promenade bordant La Croisette. Outre le bar et le grand restaurant affilié au Majestic, type restaurant raffiné de plage, son ponton privé au shoot d’air marin méditerranéen, offrant la possibilité d’une pause salvatrice entre deux galopades aux projections, est aussi le lieu en journée de multe séances de photos de stars en compétition ou du jury. Les soirées sur la plage Majestic, toujours convoitées, sont réservées aux fêtes pour les films et autres événements liés au festival, notamment les soirées d’ouverture et de clôture du festival de Cannes (soirées sur invitation comme toutes les soirées du Festival). Plage Nespresso Nespresso, partenaire officiel depuis 11 ans du festival de Cannes et plus spécifiquement de La Semaine de la critique (SDC)*, organise chaque année depuis quatre ans des repas gastronomiques avec des Grands chefs (sur invitation), dîners à thématique cinématographique. Cette année, une innovation : quatre dîners (10, 12, 14 et 15 mai) pour quatre stars de cinéma avec leur chef préféré et une battle (le 11 mai) opposant trois chefs du guide FOODING à trois chefs du guide MICHELIN (le tout sur invitation). * Les soirées d’ouverture et de clôture (13 et 16 mai) de la SDC se tiennent Plage Nespresso (sur invitation). Des petits déjeuners Vertuo (dits «Entractes Nespresso») sont organisés (le matin, évidemment…), comme l’année dernière ; les dates de ces petits déjeuners Nespresso Vertuo 2018 sont le 10, 12, 13, 15 et 16 mai. L’accès à la plage Nespresso est en libre accès pour les détenteurs d’un Pass presse. Il est toujours agréable d’y passer prendre un petit café dans la journée et pourquoi pas flâner lors d’une pause café sur un fauteuil en rotin en bord de plage… Depuis deux ans, un événement plus directement cinéma (dont ce sera donc la troisième édition), y a pris place : le concours de court-métrages «Nespresso Talents» avec l’annonce en direct des trois finalistes et la remise de leurs prix lors d’une matinée (ici, le 11 mai)… Un concours spécifique organisé depuis le mois de février par Nespresso sur un site dédié et clôturé le 25 mars 2018. Plage Magnum Si on ne peut pas déjeuner plage Magnum, le nombre de calories ingérées en mangeant leurs glaces préparées sur mesure et à la demande (d’irrésistibles «tueries») est amplement suffisant pour maintenant son taux de glucose sanguin quelques heures… Lieu festif de jour comme de nuit. Beaucoup de fêtes de films et de show-cases le soir (sur invitation). La plage est accessible librement la journée pour la dégustation. Plage du Gray d’Albion Plage de l’hôtel Barrière Gray d’Albion, c’est la seule plage VIP en accès libre à condition de réserver une table ou d’aller y déjeuner tard. Le menu est excellent, le service sympa. Villa Schweppes En 2018, aux dernières nouvelles, la plage Schweppes sera à nouveau installée dans la boîte de nuit rénovée au top du Casino qui change de nom pour Le Ka ; la nouveauté pour fêter son dixième anniversaire est que la plage Schweppes installera ses quartiers à l’hôtel de Mougins. Cette année, le Mouton Cadet Wine bar ouvre son édition du festival de Cannes 2018 sur les «Sunset apéritifs » (qui ont fait leur preuves, inaugurés en 2017 par le pianiste et compositeur Michel Legrand) et les musiques de films avec en spécial guest de la soirée d’ouverture le 9 mai, Keren Ann, auteur, compositeur et interprète. On peut, si on possède le sésame d’entrée, s’y rendre faire une pause entre 19h et 21h, on y croisera de nombreuses personnalités et stars du cinéma.PS. à noter que cette année, outre leur fameux vin Mouton Cadet rouge, on pourra y déguster aussi du vin rosé et un nouveau cocktail : le long drink Green Cadet. Terrasse UniFrance (Studio Cannes) Naissance pour Cannes 2018 d’un nouveau lieu destiné aux professionnels du cinéma durant le 71º Festival : La Terrasse UniFrance (intégrée à l’immense Studio Cannes rénové, 900 m2, dont une partie sera dévolue à Unifrance, chargée de la promotion du cinéma français, et l’autre partie à la société chinoise Cinker Pictures). Située sur le toit du 5, rue des Belges à quelques brasses de la Croisette (une rue proche de l’Hôtel Majestic au cœur du quartier de la ville nommé couramment le «carré d’or»). L’ensemble est également managé par la société événementielle A.D.R (voir plus haut la plage Majestic 71). Près de deux cents personnalités féminines (actrices, écrivains, journalistes, etc) vont partager leur passion des fromages français le 14 Mai, les pieds dans le sable avec un verre à la main… Une soirée totalement inédite à Cannes organisée sur la Plage du Carlton au NIKKI BEACH LA PLAGE par le cercle de femmes gourmandes « Mounia et ses filles à fromages » avec toute l’équipe du Nikki Beach et la participation exceptionelle du chef Yves Camdeborde (Masterchef, Comptoir Saint-Germain) et du Meilleur Ouvrier de France Fromager Xavier Thuret.
