MAJESTIC PLAGE 71

The company A.D.R, an event company specializing in high-end events, organizes every year the beach of the Hotel Barrière Majestic (which bears the edition number of the festival, this year 71), it remains the most elegant beach of the VIP places of the Croisette during the entire duration of the Cannes festival.

The 20o Shanghai International Film Festival (#SIFF), one of the largest Asian festivals, is not deceived by entrusting A.D.R this year with the promotion of their presence, especially in the film market.

«To live happily, live hidden» is a little what defines the confidential access to this beach that is not immediately seen from the promenade bordering La Croisette. In addition to the bar and the large restaurant affiliated with Majestic, a refined beach restaurant, its private pontoon at the Mediterranean marine shoot, offering the possibility of a saving break between two galopades at the screenings, is also the place during the day of mult photos of stars in competition or the jury. The evenings on Majestic beach, always coveted, are reserved for parties for films and other events related to the festival, including the opening and closing evenings of the Cannes festival (invited evenings like all the Festival evenings).

Nespresso Beach

Nespresso, official partner of the Cannes Film Festival for 11 years and more specifically of La Semaine de la critique (SDC)*, organizes every year for four years gourmet meals with great chefs (by invitation), dinners with cinematic theme. This year, an innovation: four dinners (10, 12, 14 and 15 May) for four movie stars with their favourite chef and a battle (on 11 May) between three leaders of the FOODING guide and three leaders of the MICHELIN guide (all by invitation).

* The opening and closing evenings (13 and 16 May) of the SDC are held Nespresso Beach (by invitation).

Vertuo breakfasts «Nespresso intermissions») are organised (in the morning, of course...), as last year ; The dates of these Nespresso Vertuo 2018 breakfasts are May 10, 12, 13, 15 and 16. Access to Nespresso beach is open to holders of a press pass. It's always nice to spend a little coffee in the day and why not stroll during a coffee break on a rattan armchair by the beach...

For the past two years, a more direct cinema event (which will therefore be the third edition), took place: the short film contest «Nespresso Talents» with the live announcement of the three finalists and the presentation of their prizes during a morning (here, May 11)... A specific contest organised since February by Nespresso on a dedicated site and closed on 25 March 2018.

Magnum Beach

If you can't have a Magnum beach lunch, the number of calories ingested by eating their prepared ice cream on demand (irresistible) «killings») is amply enough for now its blood glucose level for a few hours... A festive place of day and night. Many movie parties and nightclubs (by invitation). The beach is freely accessible during the day for tasting.

Gray's beach in Albion

Barrière Gray hotel beach in Albion, this is the only VIP beach with free access provided you book a table or go to lunch late. The menu is excellent, the service nice.

Villa Schweppes

En 2018, aux dernières nouvelles, la plage Schweppes sera à nouveau installée dans la boîte de nuit rénovée au top du Casino qui change de nom pour Le Ka ; la nouveauté pour fêter son dixième anniversaire est que la plage Schweppes installera ses quartiers à l’hôtel de Mougins.

VILLA SCHWEPPES Programme 2018

Terrasse Mouton-Cadet ou Mouton-Cadet Wine bar (voir la programmation)

Inauguré en 2011, ce bar à vin ultra-privé se trouve sur une terrasse tapie sur le toit du Palais des festivals.

Cette année, le Mouton Cadet Wine bar ouvre son édition du festival de Cannes 2018 sur les «Sunset apéritifs » (qui ont fait leur preuves, inaugurés en 2017 par le pianiste et compositeur Michel Legrand) et les musiques de films avec en spécial guest de la soirée d’ouverture le 9 mai, Keren Ann, auteur, compositeur et interprète.

On peut, si on possède le sésame d’entrée, s’y rendre faire une pause entre 19h et 21h, on y croisera de nombreuses personnalités et stars du cinéma.PS. à noter que cette année, outre leur fameux vin Mouton Cadet rouge, on pourra y déguster aussi du vin rosé et un nouveau cocktail : le long drink Green Cadet.

Terrasse UniFrance (Studio Cannes)

Naissance pour Cannes 2018 d’un nouveau lieu destiné aux professionnels du cinéma durant le 71º Festival :

La Terrasse UniFrance (intégrée à l’immense Studio Cannes rénové, 900 m2, dont une partie sera dévolue à Unifrance, chargée de la promotion du cinéma français, et l’autre partie à la société chinoise Cinker Pictures).

Située sur le toit du 5, rue des Belges à quelques brasses de la Croisette (une rue proche de l’Hôtel Majestic au cœur du quartier de la ville nommé couramment le «carré d’or»). L’ensemble est également managé par la société événementielle A.D.R (voir plus haut la plage Majestic 71).
