Last Night in Cannes 17 May – Cannes Film Festival 2025
The 17th of May in Cannes was a night of contrasts: from the cinema engaged to the confidential festival, to the most surprising projects of the Quinzaine. A dense evening, under the sign of sharing, reflection and creative energy. Projection of « Orwell 2 + 2 = 5 » Raoul Peck – Intimistic, deep, necessary I had the honour of attending the screening of Raoul Peck's new film, Orwell 2 + 2 = 5, distributed by The Pact. This incisive documentary focuses on the last days of George Orwell, to better draw the contours of a contemporary society under surveillance, conditioned by new languages and power structures. A work that is both sober and fulgurating, and a dreadful news. The evening that followed was like the film: in a small committee, in a discreet and professional setting. A privileged moment of reunion, discussions, where the film team was present. I had the joy of finding a friend actor Eriq Ebouaney, a faithful supporter of the engaged cinema, as well as the great photographer Kriss Dewitte, whose black and white photographs capture with rare sensitivity moments of truth. You can discover his work in the Cannes Festival special edition of The Warp magazine. Dangerous Animal » – sharks at the Fortnight, and a Fx team at the top Change of scenery on the Vega Cartel beach, with the presentation of Dangerous Animal (released July 25, 2025), a film Horror scare, Thriller whose protagonist is another serial killer obsessed with sharks !!. Last Night in Cannes 16 May – Japan, party and meetings
Partage d'article
Cannes Soundtrack is 15 years old: Tribute to David Lynch, magical concert with Chrystabell... and Honor Prize at Cerrone at Silencio!
Since 2010, Cannes Soundtrack has celebrated film music as an art in its own right. For its 15th anniversary, the event saw things great, joining forces with the Cannes Film Festival to offer a vibrant tribute to one of the most unique filmmakers of our time: David Lynch. Thursday, May 15, 2025, the Cinema de la Plage turned into a magical scene to host a concert tribute to Lynch's musical world, followed by an unforgettable evening at Silencio, the mythical club created by Arnaud Frisch with the complicity of Lynch himself. Cannes Soundtrack is 15 years old: Tribute to David Lynch, magical concert with Chrystabell... and Honor Prize in Cerrone at Silencio!. Chrystabell & Maxence Cyrin: concert between mystery and grace https://www.youtube.com/shorts/nC3img9 g-g Under the canine stars, the public was able to discover a suspended moment: Chrystabell, a lynchian muse and actress of Twin Peaks: The Return, delivered a performance both sensual and hypnotic. Enchanting, she performed songs in collaboration with David Lynch, between vaporous rock and dark ballads, accompanied to the piano by talented Maxence Cyrin. Maxence Cyrin, French pianist known for his elegant replays of contemporary pieces, added a dreamy touch to this already memorable evening. A perfect fusion between classical music, dream, and the strangeness of the lynchian universe. CERRONE honored at Silencio At the end of the concert, the festivities continued at Silencio Cannes, in a warm and electric atmosphere. This is where CERRONE, the world icon of the
