You might think, on behalf of « Villa of Ministers », that it is a summer annex of the government for overworked ministers seeking an excuse to extend their lunch break. But don't be confused: here, the only crisis to deal with is that of choosing between a Caipirinha cocktail or a fresh Limoncello.
For its third edition, the Villa of Ministers located a few steps from the Palais des Festivals in a green setting of 2,500 m2. From 14 to 21 May 2025, there were no fewer than 16 exclusive events on the day and illuminated the nights of the 78th Cannes Festival.
Under the impulse of Yves de Roquemaurel and Elena Sokhoshko, this place has become a must-see, between sharp professional meetings and memorable festivals.

On the programme, a festive tour of the world of cinema:
The festivities started 14 May with the Condor Distribution Grill & Pool Party, ideally launching this week full of events. Afro Cannes followed the 15-19 May with conferences and round tables on cinema, including Aaron Thomas (creator of the S.W.A.T. series), Frédéric Chau and Wendell Pierce (The Wire, Suits).
The Glasgow International Film Festival evening, in the presence of Martin Petrov, founder of the event, also marked the spirits with its warm and international atmosphere.
Among the major events around the films in the official selection of the festival:
Dinner 17 May for the film The Laughter and the Knife Pedro Pinho's selection A Certain Look, with the noticed presence of the actress Cleo Diara (performance prize), director Pedro Pinho and producers Juliette Lepoutre and Patricia Neves Gomes.
The 18 May, the evening dedicated to the film A Useful Ghost, Grand Prix of Criticism Week, organized aboard the boat Technikart, bringing together the director Ratchapoom Boonbunchachoke and actors Davika Hoorne and Apasiri Nitibhon.
Dinner and party for the Spanish film Sleepless City, winner of the SACD prices at Critical Week, with director Guillermo Galoe, screenwriter Víctor Alonso-Berbel and producers Damien Megherbi and Justin Pechberty.

A unique sensory immersion:
This year, the House of Ministers pushed the limits of pleasure with its exceptionally garnished bar: Caipirinha as in Rio, Colombian rum Dictador, Mexican tequila Ocho and French vodka Remyx, not to mention the Beauty Light Bar to illuminate the faces tired by too much cinema and party.
As for gifts, the guests did not leave empty-handed: tote luxury bags with high-end cosmetics and gourmet cookies, to soften the return to reality after these busy days.

the Villa of Ministers affirms more than ever as a must-see place of the Cannes Festival, combining with elegance cinematic culture and refined pleasures. If only all the ministries looked like this one... Politics would certainly be much more entertaining!
