What do you think of the film The Artist, which won the Oscar this year? « Personally, I do not share the general enthusiasm about this film, The Artist. Jury Short Films & Cinéfondation President J.P. Dardenne
The Cannes Film Festival will host its Cinéfondation and Short Film Jury on 23 May, which will be chaired this year by Jean-Pierre DARDENNE (Belgian director, screenwriter and producer) who, along with his brother Luc, in 2011 won the Grand Prix pour le Gamin au vélo, after two Palmes d'or in 1999 for Rosetta and 2005 for l'Enfant and the Prix du script in 2008 for Lorna's Silence. The jury, composed of five personalities from film and literature, will bring together Arsinée KHANJIAN (Canadian actress), Karim Ainouz (Brazilian director and screenwriter), Emmanuel CARRÈRE (French writer, screenwriter and director) and YU Lik-wai (Chinese director and director). They will have to choose from the films of cinema schools of the Cinéfondation Selection, the first three awards, with 15,000€11,250€ and 7,500€. The Jury will award these awards on Friday 25 May in Cannes, during a Buñuel Hall ceremony, followed by the screening of the award-winning films. While the final part of the saga from Stephenie Meyer's novels is expected in theaters on November 18, her stars, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, should make the paparazzi happy at the 65th edition of the Cannes International Film Festival. The comedians are featured in the credits of two films strongly screened in the official selection. Kristen Stewart is part of the On the Road casting, adaptation of Jack Kerouac's novel by Brazilian director Walter Salles. NANNI MORETTI – President 65th Cane Festival

A nice picture I took with my phone at the last Cannes festival, at the opening dinner that seems to be right out of Mafia blues, with Jud Law as a bonus! The other picture is Woody Allen who converses with Bernardo Bertolucci who has just received a palm gold tribute. Woody Allen and the entire team of his film (Owen Wilson, Rachel Mcadams and Adrien Brody) made a sensation on the Croisette during the Midnight presentation in Paris. Article sharing

PALME D’OR : THE TREE OF LIFE de Terrence Malick Robert De Niro,président du jury, a récompensé le seul compatriote de la sélection. Ni Terrence Malick, ni ses acteurs Brad Pitt et Jessica Chastain ne sont venus assister à la cérémonie ce dimanche soir, au Palais des festivals… Dans la salle de presse, beaucoup de huées éclatent et d’autres applaudissent à s’en rompre les poignets. JEAN DUJARDIN (Best actor) with Alexandra Lamy.
Le Français Jean Dujardin, 38 ans, a reçu dimanche soir le Prix d’interprétation masculine du Festival de Cannes pour son rôle de star déchue du cinéma muet dans le film « The Artist », en noir et blanc, de Michel Hazanavicius. Jean Dujardin récolte aujourd’hui tous les honneurs. Le comédien au talent immense reconnu par le grand public est désormais félicité par ses pairs. A Cannes il vient de recevoir le prix d’interprétation pour son rôle dans The Artist. Plus que son jeu d’acteur, ce prix récompense sa performance. Dans le film de Michel Hazanavicius, Jean Dujardin est totalement muet. Pas de blague potache à la Brice de Nice ni de réplique cinglante comme celles OSS 117, mais une prestation de mime hors norme.Tout au long de sa carrière, le «Loulou» de tous les Français a su fidéliser son public et se glisser naturellement dans des rôles hétéroclites. En ce moment, Jean Dujardin co-réalise un film à sketchs « Les Infidèles« , avec Gilles Lellouche. Une comédie très trash, libre de ton, pour adultes. Bientôt sur vos écrans ! Partage d'article

« No pictures! » Leonardo DiCaprio était le gibier le plus convoité par les photographes au dîner de charité Cinema For Peace, donné à l’hôtel Carlton mercredi soir en l’honneur de Sean Penn, héros cannois et infatigable militant en faveur de la reconstruction d’Haïti. Arrivé en catimini, le téléphone portable vissé à l’oreille, Leo finit par prendre place aux côtés de Sean Penn et du « patron » Robert De Niro. Sans doute le plus beau trio de ce 64e Festival de Cannes, l’aristocratie hollywoodienne. It is on the beach Croisette beach, opposite the famous Miramar, that the Italian manufacturer Lancia celebrated the release of his new model Ypsylon, name given to this beach during the Festival. For the fiestas, Villa Palm Beach hosted in the afternoon, La pool Beach Party by Zanzibar with Michael Canitrot the official dj of the Cannes Platinum Festival. In the evening, it was VIP BELGIUM who organized in the same villa, the Belgian evening « BELGIUM UNITED, Yes WE CANNES » with many personalities such as the rich IVANA TRUMP, the Jet-setter MASSIMO GARGIA or the comedian of the trilogy of the « TAXI » Sami NACERI. At the Honeyheart, around 6 p.m. the delivery of the « Queer Palm » who has been rewarding a young artist from the Gay community for several years.
