Official opening dinner of the Festival to celebrate the first film screened in competition, Moonrise Kingdom, in the presence of the entire team led by director Wes Anderson and the jury, in full. 600 guests in front of Agora all dressed in pink, close to the Festival Palace. Actors Bruce Willis and Bill Murray, as well as designer Jean-Paul Gaultier, have done well thanks to the exercise of autographs. On the menu, morillas and truffles with yellow wine, salmon and scallops with horseradish, Limousin veal shank and poached foie gras, before an impressive cube of light and individual ice containing a mousse of red fruit and licorice, with its madeleine with lavender honey. This afternoon Bruce Willis and Bill Murray arrived at the Palais on the Mouton Cadet terrace to kick off the 65th edition of the 2012 Cannes Film Festival with the screening of the movie Moonrise Kingdom, which will be released the same day in our dark rooms. Directed by Wes Anderson, he staged a Bruce Willis such as we never saw, plunged into the heart of summer 1965 on an island off the coast of New England.... Festival! Article sharing

SELECTION BY ACCIDENT An indiscretion briefly filtered into the official site of the Cannes Film Festival before being removed in haste: the OFFICIAL list of films to be presented in competition. The selection was to be announced only on April 19th: Three observations: the return to strength of American cinema, the wide representation of Asian cinema and 80 years of difference between the youngest and oldest of the selected! ( Dolan / De oliveira, or is it the other way around? ) So here are the titles in competition ( 24 instead of 20 last year ) in total preview even if we will wait for the press conference on April 19 for confirmation.
