Cannes Festival 2015 – THE HEART FUND The 3rd GENEROUS PEOPLE Charity Gala will take place at INTERCONTINENTAL CARLTON on Monday, May 18. This Gala, organized by THE HEART FUND, in partnership with the Carlton Hotel and NIKKI BEACH, will raise funds to combat heart disease in developing countries and especially among children. THE HEART FUND is a endowment fund created in 2010 by surgeon Dr.David Luu, who fights the world's leading cause of death: cardiovascular disease. Not known, the latter cause more than 17 million deaths a year, more than AIDS, cancer and tuberculosis combined. More than two hundred benefactors, the PEOPLE GENEROUS, are expected at the evening to be chaired by Tom Bernard, Co-President and Co-Founder of Sony Pictures Classics, including many international personalities. Sharon Stone, Natalie Portman, the Coen Brothers Presidents of the Festival, will preside over the 22nd AmfAR gala with Jake Gyllenhall, a jury at the Festival. Sharon Stone: She's The Boss! The American Foundation for AIDS Prevention and Research organizes this event every year during the Festival. Sharon Stone, the organization's ambassador and committed to humanitarian causes, is historically president of the fundraising process. It is a humanitarian and social event that takes place once a year. The charity gala of the amfAR will be held this year as usual at Eden Roc, the palace of Cape Antibes. The purpose of this ceremony is to raise funds for AIDS research and help patients around the world. FAMOUS PEOPLE IN EDEN ROC HOTEL (Cap d'Antibes) Celebrities have already been announced. Cannes 2014: Palmarès (Palme d'Or) announced on Saturday 24 May!
Due to the European elections to be held on Sunday, May 25, the management of the Cannes Film Festival decided to unveil the Palmarès of its 67th edition the day before, Saturday, May 24, during the traditional ceremony at the Grand Théâtre Lumière. The final film of the competition will be screened on Friday, May 23, and the jury will deliberate the next day to nominate the winners. In fact, the announcement of prices A Certain Regard will take place on the evening of Friday, May 23, with the Cinéfondation Awards being awarded in the afternoon of the same day, as usual. During the weekend of 24 and 25 May, all the films of the Official Selection will be taken up again in the halls of the Palais. ZULU with Orlando Bloom closes 66th CANNES FESTIVAL
It is director Jérôme Salle ( Anthony Zimmer , Largo Winch) who has the honour of closing this 66th edition of the Cannes Film Festival with his film ZULU. Projected out of competition, just after the announcement of an expected list, released with elegance from the mouth of our president Steven Spielberg, the film plunges us into the violent atmosphere of the old demons of apartheid. In Cape Town, two criminal cops – Forest Whitaker and Orlando Bloom – face the appearance of a drug that triggers morbid impulses. A first murder – a white girl – puts them on the track of a little drug dealer. The investigation will plunge the two policemen back into the dark hours of South Africa and the delirious plans of the Afrikaaner extremists. The screening is followed by an evening organised in partnership with Pathé at the Chivas club, in the presence of the entire film team.
