Due to the European elections to be held on Sunday, May 25, the management of the Cannes Film Festival decided to unveil the Palmarès of its 67th edition the day before, Saturday, May 24, during the traditional ceremony at the Grand Théâtre Lumière.
The final film of the competition will be screened on Friday, May 23, and the jury will deliberate the next day to nominate the winners.
In fact, the announcement of prices A Certain Regard will take place on the evening of Friday, May 23, with the Cinéfondation Awards being awarded in the afternoon of the same day, as usual.
During the weekend of 24 and 25 May, all the films of the Official Selection will be taken up again in the halls of the Palais. The Festival will end on Sunday 25 May with the projection of the Palme d'or.
