CANNES FESTIVAL: SAM BOBINO DECORATED BY THE MEDAL OF THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY FOR HIS COMMITMENT FOR CINEMA
On Thursday 25 May, at the Cannes Film Festival, the Member of Parliament for the Loire-Atlantique Sandrine Josso presented the National Assembly's medal to Sam Bobino for her commitment to cinema for more than 30 years and in particular to La Baule with the Film Music Festival which he created in 2014 and which he co-chairs with director Christophe Barratier. On this occasion, Modem MP recalled Sam Bobino's passion, « from the high school where he occupied a cinema club to the Cannes Film Festival where he also directed the Positive Cinema Week since 2016, a festival in the festival he created with Jacques Attali ». This medal ceremony was held on the Orange Terrace in front of the iconic steps of the Palais du Festival de Cannes under the benevolent gaze of Catherine Deneuve displayed in large and in the presence of actor and director Éric Judor (du duo Éric & Ramzy) sponsoring the 8th Week of Positive Cinema. CINEMA POSITIF PRICES AT THE CANNES FESTIVAL 2023
After a week of screenings and encounters, the 8th edition of Positive Cinema Week – which takes place every year in Cannes under the auspices of the International Film Festival – devotes a cinema that changes our gaze on the world, awakens consciousness and invites citizens from all over the world to engage. This year the Prize of Positive Cinema Rewarding the Most Feature Film « Positive » among all the films in official competition in Cannes, was awarded, this Friday 26 May on the beach of the CNC (partner of the event). A prize awarded by the Positive Planet Foundation – which organizes Positive Cinema Week under the direction of its general delegate Sam Bobino – presented by Jacques Attali, President of the Positive Planet Foundation and by actor and director Eric Judor, sponsor of this year's event. The Daughters of Olfa, a film by Kaouther Ben Hania, produced by Nadim Sheikhrouha and distributed in France by Jour2Fête. « INCLUSION & COMMITMENT » The 8th edition of Positive Cinema Week will take place in Cannes, under the auspices of the International Film Festival, from 24 to 27 May and will be sponsored by actor and director Éric Judor. Cannes Festival 2015 – THE HEART FUND The 3rd GENEROUS PEOPLE Charity Gala will take place at INTERCONTINENTAL CARLTON on Monday, May 18. This Gala, organized by THE HEART FUND, in partnership with the Carlton Hotel and NIKKI BEACH, will raise funds to combat heart disease in developing countries and especially among children. THE HEART FUND is a endowment fund created in 2010 by surgeon Dr.David Luu, who fights the world's leading cause of death: cardiovascular disease. Not known, the latter cause more than 17 million deaths a year, more than AIDS, cancer and tuberculosis combined. More than two hundred benefactors, the PEOPLE GENEROUS, are expected at the evening to be chaired by Tom Bernard, Co-President and Co-Founder of Sony Pictures Classics, including many international personalities. People who count to the CANNES FESTIVAL: In the world of cinema and fashion, Sam Bobino is one of the must-see figures! Director of a public relations agency for more than 15 years, it touches everything (he is also Director of the Ceremony of the Lumières Awards - the Goldens Globes in French-, DJ at his lost hours and was journalist, film critic, radio host on RFM, Director of a press agency and General Delegate of the Tunis International Film Festival...), is this year one of the major actors of the 66th Cannes Film Festival version off, since he will be in charge, the Terrazza Martini.
