The 8e edition of Positive Cinema Week will take place in Cannes, under the auspices of the International Film Festival, from May 24-27 and will be sponsored by actor and director Éric Judor.
Created in 2016 and organized by the Positive Planet group chaired by Jacques Attali, in partnership with the CNC and the City of Cannes, the Positive Cinema Week (led by Sam Bobino) takes place every year in Cannes during the Inter-National Film Festival and devotes a cinema that changes our gaze on the world, questions its industry and puts its art at the service of future generations. The aim of the Positive Cinema is to challenge the spectator, to make him react and to rage to engage and act for a better world.
THE WEEK OF CINEMA POSITIF, FOR WHAT?
- For providing a forum for engaged cinema and warning.
- Encourage film professionals to make films that make them want to commit to improving the world for future generations.
- Enter the event in the DNA of the Festival
- Give access to culture for all.
- Offer an event around the cinema, free, popular and open to all.
THE WEEK OF THE CINEMA POSITIF 2023
- The screenings of feature films and short films during the Cannes Film Festival in theatre and outdoors
(in partnership with TV5World, the City of Cannes and the MegaCities-ShortDocs and HelloPlanet festivals).
- The Conferences on the beach of the CNC and at the Fnac de Cannes: round tables and discussions with personalities and professionals of the cinema around the theme of inclusion and engagement.
- The Meetings with college students and film students from the City of Cannes and with the public (sharing experiences).
- The Presentation of the Positive Cinema Award the most positive feature of the official selection in competition at the Cannes Film Festival.
- The climb of the stairs of the delegation of Cinema
- One programming Special Positive Cinema on TV5MONDE
In total, these are 27 films to be screened or broadcast during the 8th Week of Positive Cinema (in theatre, outdoor or platform) and about 10 round tables or meetings to be organized.
All projections and meetings are free and open to the public, to allow everyone to participate in the event.
ERIC JUDOR, PARRAIN OF THE 8E WEEK OF THE POSITIF CINEMA
During the Week of Positive Cinema in Cannes, actor and director Eric Judor will participate in a meeting with film students the Campus of Cannes Georges Méliès for a « sharing experiences » (Thursday, 25 May, at 11 a.m.) and a meeting on the CNC beach (Friday, May 26 at 11 a.m.) and at the Fnac street of Antibes (Saturday, May 27 at 11 a.m.)
Eric Judor will also present his film Problemos (exit in 2017), on the Place du Marché de la Bocca, on the occasion of an outdoor screening organised with the City of Cannes and in the presence of the Mayor, David Lisnard (Thursday, 25 May, at 9 p.m.) So that the party is everywhere in the city and also in the popular neighborhoods.

A SPECIAL PROGRAMME ON TV5MONDEPLUS
Special programming « Positive Cinema Week » will be proposed for the duration of the
Cannes Festival, on the TV5MONDEplus platform, from May 19 to 28, to share the event
