The Cannes Film Festival has chosen for the poster of its 66th edition a couple who perfectly embodies the spirit of cinema: Joanne Woodward and Paul Newman, taken in pictures on the filming of the well-named A New Kind of Love by Melville Shavelson (1963). It is an opportunity for the Festival to pay tribute to the memory of Paul Newman, who disappeared in 2008, and to make a full admiration to Joanne Woodward, his wife and his election performer.
