As every year, Mr Brochant the Mayor of Cannes will reserve 1,500 invitations to the official screenings of the Festival for its members. Without being movie stars, the Cannois will be able to go on the steps of the palace.
How do I get the invitations? This Monday, May 7, 10, 11 or 13 from 9 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. in the town hall yellow lounge, and from 9 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. in the Bocca and Ranguin side halls.
The draw will name the winners on the 14th (the results will be available on that day from 2 p.m. in the main town hall). And to really show off, the city's inhabitants will even be able to play the real festivalgoers during an evening. Some 800 Cannois (invitations to withdraw on May 15 from 10 a.m. at City Hall, the first arrivals will be the first served) will be able to participate in an evening around The Great Gatsby on May 16. In the scenery installed on the Laubeuf dock and visited the day before by the stars of the opening film.
