CANNES FESTIVAL: THAILAND NIGHT Chaired by her Royal Highness Princess Ubolratana Rajakanya Barnavadi, the 2013 Thai Evening in Cannes will be the occasion to celebrate this year for Thai cinema. Our guest this year is Abe Kwong, a Chinese author/director/producer who produced the biggest success of Chinese cinema, LOST IN THAILAND. This film was shot entirely in Thailand and was produced with the support of the Thai government. He has made more than $200 million in revenues in China (beating Avatar and Titanic) RYAN GOSLING in ONLY GOD FORGIVES (Directed in Thailand film by Nicolas Winding Refn starring Ryan Gosling, Kristin Scott Thomas ) L This film was also shot entirely in Thailand. The beauty of its landscapes and the modest costs of production do not explain to them alone the attractiveness of Thailand. The country now offers some of Asia's most professional and experienced production facilities and teams, covering all production needs, from filming to post-production and special effects. Organized by the Department of International Trade Promotion, an agency attached to the Thai Ministry of Trade, the Cannois event will be an opportunity for the press and members of the international film community to get to know the new Thai cinema,
Cannes 2013: Mayor Mr Brochant offers 1500 invitations for projections for the Cannois!
As every year, Mr. Brochant the Mayor of Cannes will reserve 1,500 invitations to the official screenings of the Festival for its members. Without being movie stars, the Cannois will be able to go on the steps of the palace. How do I get the invitations? This Monday, May 7, 10, 11 or 13 must be written from 9 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. in the town hall yellow lounge, and from 9 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. in the town halls of Bocca and Ranguin. The draw will name the winners on the 14th (the results will be available on that day from 2 p.m. in the main town hall). And to really show off, the inhabitants of the city will even be able to play the real festivalgoers during an evening. Some 800 Cannois (invitations to withdraw on May 15 from 10 a.m. at City Hall, the first arrivals will be the first served) will be able to participate in an evening around The Great Gatsby on May 16. MICHEL DRUCKER AT MAJESTIC 64 FOR ONE SHOT
Michel Drucker will present a special film show on occasion 64th Festival. This one-shot will be broadcast shortly after the closing ceremony on Sunday, May 22, in the second part of the evening on France 2. The filming of this program will take place on May 14. To best fit the prestigious setting of the Cannes Film Festival, Michel Drucker and Wendy Bouchard will invest the famous Majestic Barrière and Majestic Beach 64. Michel Drucker is very interested in cinema. For cause, he is currently looking for an actor to interpret his role in adapting his autobiographical work, but what are we going to do with you? The filming is planned for this summer, under the direction of Jean-Daniel Verhaeghe. Article sharing
SOIREE CHOPARD 19 MAY 2011 CANNES FESTIVAL
Chaque année la soirée la plus prisée du Festival est sans conteste celle ou règne, le luxe, le glamour et tous les happy fews de la terre:Mick jagger, Andy Garcia, Salma Hayek… La fameuse soirée Chopard qui aura lieue le 19 mai 2011 durant le Festival international du Film, ou le blog du festival de cannes vient d’être accrédité. Chopard est le créateur de la Palme d’Or, récompense suprême décernée au meilleur long métrage en compétition lors du Festival, qui sera réalisée pour la 14ème année consécutive, et remise lors de la cérémonie de clôture le 22 mai. Dessiné par Caroline Gruosi-Scheufele en 1998,la Palme pèse 118 gr d’or jaune et 1248 gr de cristal de roche ; elle mesure 13,5cmx9cmx9cm. SOIRÉE EN HOMMAGE A HAÏTI AU 63ème FESTIVAL DE CANNES Le Mercredi 19 Mai 2010, à l’initiative de INTERNATIONAL LUXURY MEDIA, Le comédien- réalisateur SEAN PENN remettra à l’Acteur Haïtien JIMMY JEAN-LOUIS (Heros, Hollywood Homicide, Le coursier…) un PRIX D’HONNEUR HUMANITAIRE. Marque de soutien au peuple HAÏTIEN. A l’occasion de cette soirée caritative, NAOMIE CAMPBELL, GERARD BUTLER, JULIAN LENNON et BORIS BECKER seront eux aussi mis à l’honneur pour leur travail humanitaire auprès de la communauté Haïtienne. La soirée dont les fonds seront reversés à HAÏTI se déroulera sur la plage du GOELAND le 19 mai2010 devant 350 convives.
