14 countries represented at the Cinéfondation Workshop

Mauritanian filmmaker Abderrahmane Sissako ("Timbuktu") will preside this year over the jury of the Cinéfondation et des Courts Métrages.

Of which Burma, Colombia, Iran and Sri Lanka, will be hosted by the Workshop of the #Cinéfondation du festival de #Cannes, from 13 to 24 May, announced Tuesday the organizers.
Accompanied by producers, these filmmakers will be able to meet potential partners, indispensable to finalise their project and move to the realization of their film.

Created in 2005 to encourage creative cinema and foster the emergence of a new generation of filmmakers around the world, the Cinéfondation Workshop has already accompanied 156 feature film projects. About 100 films were released in theatres and 40 are in pre-production.
