The Thai Ministry of Commerce organizes the Thai Night Cannes 2023 at the Cannes International Film Festival to celebrate the growing Thai film industry. The evening will be chaired by Her Royal Highness Princess Ubolratana Rajakanya Sirivadhana Barnavadi and present future-oriented Thai film companies.
The Thai Night and the Film Market Present 10 future-oriented Thai film companies: Benetone Films, Brandthink, Film Frame Production, GDH, Halo Productions, Kantana, M Pictures, Right Beyond, Sahamongkol Film International and Yggdrazil Group. Thailand has also become a popular filming destination for international productions such as « True Love » Gareth Edwards, « Thai Cave Rescue », « The Blue », « The Sympathizer » and the next season « The White Lotus ».
In 2022, according to the Thailand Film Office (TFO), the country hosted 348 film and television productions, with total production expenditures of $182 million, the highest level ever achieved.
From 16 to 24 May 2023, film professionals will be able to meet Thai film companies or acquire Thai films at the DITP stand located at N.22.01, Palais -1 inside the Fi MarketIm at the Palais des Festivals.
