This year festivalgoers who had not been able to get an invitation for the opening evening for the opening ceremony had the opportunity to go to the dinner cocktail on Majestic beach to spend a pleasant time and make new encounters, with the possibility of seeing the opening film « Ghosts of Ismael » with Charlotte Gainsbourg and Marion Cottillard at 11 p.m.

The Cannes blog chose this option and the pleasure of being welcomed by President Lescure and his artistic director Thierry Fremaux who came to take a tour of the Majestic Beach (photo) during the screening, before joining the official dinner after the fim with Charlotte Gainsbourg and Marin Cotillard.

We met fashion designer Christophe Guillarmé accompanied by the lovely Miss France 2012 Delphine Wespiser whom he admirably dressed for this Opening Party, to whom we offered a pair of glasses from the new My Muse Bye OKO collection specially created for this Cannes Festival!

During the afternoon the blog team found themselves in the gardens of the Grand Hotel to start the first interviews. We had the pleasure of meeting a talented Italian director Fulvio Sesisto who told us about his science fiction film « Enconter » he produced with a budget of $2 million. A promising film that we saw the trailer at the U.S. Pavilion and should be distributed prochainly.

For this first, we used a new process: filming with a 360° camera that allows you to observe all around you during an interview (or other). It is our partner in the professional network of the NAWAK show who lent us this new kind of camera that adapts to the iPhone, to make 360° photos or videos that you will see very quickly on the blog, and that you can follow on our Twitter account @Cannes 360 on the YouTube channel and on the page Facebook Blog of Cannes.

We have had a drink with our friends from CANNES Sondtrack, who are preparing for the next edition, which will take place on May 26th in L^ Ame, the new trendy venue of the festival which will be inaugurated this evening from 7 p.m. for festivalgoers who are lucky to have obtained an invitation to enter this secret garden.
