With great delicacy, the director explores the links between a young French child, Cleo, and her Cape Verdean nanny, embodied by actress Ilça Moreno. Cleo, just six years old, loves Gloria madly, who has been raising her since she was born. But the nanny must suddenly return to Cape Verde, with her children.
