For this 77th edition of the festival, Lobo-Graphik did something pretty cool around the Cannes Festival: he served us not one, but two absolutely awesome posters, each with its own touch. He saw things big, and frankly, we love it! He shows us the festival from two completely different angles, and we can only applaud!
2 Posters for the Cannes Film Festival 2024
First, there is this first poster celebrating the 30th anniversary of a mythical scene: « The Carioca » the film « The City of Fear ». This cult moment of French cinema, where Alain Chabat and Gérard Darmon are embarking on a dance as absurd as hilarious, has become much more than a film scene: it is a piece of our culture.
Imagine this: this Poster managed to take this dance that we can't stop wanting to imitate and transformed it into an image that captures the whole glamour and fun of the moment. It's like you can hear the music just by watching it!
For its second creation, the poster takes us in a more neutral but totally barred graphics of Tim Burton with a black and white poster dedicated to « Ed Wood ». This film, which tells the story of the director considered the worst of all time, is a nugget of cinema, oscillating between humor and melancholy. The poster perfectly captures this contrast, paying homage to Burton's aesthetics and the eccentricity of his protagonist, incarnated by Johnny Depp between the director's vision and the camera which are finally 2 points of view differ.
With these two posters, Lobo-Graphik offers us more than just an invitation to the Cannes 2024 Festival. It reminds us why we love cinema: for its power to make us laugh, to move ourselves, and to transport us into unexplored worlds, these two posters, are like an invitation to plunge head first into the festive and professional side of cinema art.
