The 78th Cannes Festival, which will take place from 13-24 May 2025, already announced as a great cru of world cinema. On the Croisette, the projectors are about to light up to celebrate not only the greatest works of contemporary cinematographic creation, but also a living legend: Robert De Niro. This year, the iconic American actor will receive a Palme d'or d'honneur, hailing a monumental career that has marked generations of cinemaphiles.
And like every year, the famous bloggers of the Cannes Blog will be present to make you live, with passion and a bit of impertinence, all the highlights of the festival. From mythical walks to secret evenings to the nuggets projected in the hall, count on us to see everything, hear everything, and above all... Tell it all!
Prepare your sunglasses and your badge: the Croisette waits more than you.
A 2025 selection between heavy goods vehicles and revelations
Official selection of the Cannes 2025 Festival reveals itself as a learned mix of senior filmmakers, emerging voices and bold promises. In Competition, we will find regulars of the Croisette like Whe Anderson, the Dardenne brothers, Ari Aster, Julia Ducournau or Richard Linklater, alongside talents recognized as Jafar Panahi, Kelly Reichardt or Joachim Trier. On the French side, Hafsia Herzi and Dominik Moll will come wear high the colors of the cinema of author.
The programme A Certain Look continues to play its role as a springboard by highlighting a new generation of directors: Scarlett Johansson goes behind the camera for his first film, as do several filmmakers from all over the globe. To this are added the events Outside Competition, Midnight, Cannes Premiere and Special Sessions, which will allow to discover works expected as the new Mission: Impossible or very personal Stories of Surrender signed Bono.
In short, an eclectic and ambitious selection, which promises to make the Croisette vibrate at the pace of great emotions for this 78th edition of the festival.
