Pop Up Influence in Cannes: Anthony Ghnassia presents Sound of Silence on the Croisette

During the Cannes Film Festival 2026, the Pop Up Influence installed a few steps from the Palace of the Festivals in a suite of the Gray of Albion. A temporary place bringing together creators, artists, influencers and guests around fashion, beauty, photography and music.

Among the meetings of this edition, we found photographer Anthony Ghnassia who came to present his book Sound of Silence. A meeting accompanied by DJ sets with The Avener and Vanettyand the presence of DJ Cut Killer.

For its third edition, from 13 to 22 May 2026, Pop Up Influence had chosen a particularly interesting location: a continuation of the Gray d'Albion, in the heart of the Croisette and only a few steps from the Palais des Festivals.

And the place alone was worth the detour.

With 180 m2 of indoor space and a panoramic terrace of 150 m2, the Pop Up offered a real parenthesis above the Cannoese agitation.

Anthony Ghnassia presents Sound of Silence

It is in this atmosphere that Anthony Ghnassia came to present Sound of Silence, a work that traces almost fifteen years spent close to the music scene.

For the Cannes Blog, these reunions also had a small story.

In his early days, Anthony had participated in the adventure of Cannes Blog and shared with us some of his beautiful photographs of the Festival. Since then, his journey has led well beyond the Croisette, close to many French and international artists.

Photographer and director, he accompanied DJ Snake, Justice, PNL or David Guetta, photographing both the intensity of the concerts and the more personal moments experienced on tour.

Sound of Silence, 15 years of music in images

Published by Hemeria, Sound of Silence gathers more than 170 photographs in colour and black and white.

The book is not limited to spectacular images taken in front of thousands of people. Anthony Ghnassia is also interested in what the public rarely sees: waiting, travel, behind the scenes and the quieter moments surrounding a performance.
The title Sound of Silence comes from this contrast. Prepared by Pedro Winter, founder d‘Ed Banger Records, the book is enriched with texts and testimonies of many artists and personalities of music.

A music encounter on the Croisette

In Cannes, the presentation of the book was naturally accompanied by music.
On the terrace of the Pop Up Influence, Vanetty and The Avener took place behind the plates, with also DJ Cut Killer present in the guest room. In this privileged setting close to the Palais des Festivals, guests, artists and creators were able to meet Anthony Ghnassia and discover his work in a friendly atmosphere, far from a traditional bookshop presentation.

Another side of the Cannes Film Festival

This is also what makes the Festival rich: for a few days, cinema brings with it many other creative worlds. Photography, music, fashion, art and new trends are found in these places that appear the time of the fortnight before disappearing with it.
Pop Up Influence was one of these beautiful discoveries of Cannes 2026. And this meeting around Sound of Silence allowed us to find Anthony Ghnassia several years after his first photographic collaborations with the Cannes Blog.

A nice way to close the loop, a camera by hand and music in the background.
