Gaumont unveiled today the poster of the film « The Conquest » Xavier Durringer's new film that goes back to Nicolas Sarkozy's ascent. After the announcement of the film's presence at the next out-of-competition Cannes Festival, the buzz is relaunched around this expected release with the poster that was unveiled today.
Poster that shows a man in a suit, visibly small, sitting on a stool too big for him. The tone is given in one image. The controversy is only beginning around the film which should be animating some debates here in Cannes. In the casting we find Denis Podalydès (Nicolas Sarkozy), Florence Pernel (Cécilia Sarkozy), Bernard Le Coq (Jacques Chirac), Hippolyte Girardot, Samuel Labarthe, Michèle Moretti, Saida Jawad. The film will be in theatre on May 11, 2011.
