La Croisette is preparing to roll out its red carpet for the 78th edition of the Cannes Film Festival, from 13 to 24 May 2025. This year, it is the talented Juliette Binoche who will have the heavy – but very glamorous – task of presiding over a jury with as wide a horizons as possible.
For yes, in Cannes, one does not judge with severity, but with passion, style, and sometimes even a tear (of cinephile joy). The 2025 Jury is a casting by itself, capable of making any Netflix production pale.
Juliette Binoche, Queen of the Croisette
A chameleon actress and muse for filmmakers from around the world, Juliette Binoche is not in her first turn on the steps. Palme de l'émotion, Oscarisée, Caesarisée, painted, danced, sung, she embodies a certain idea of French cinema... and artistic risk. In Cannes, she returned as a band leader to distribute the Palme d'or among the 21 films in competition.

Author of best sellers as Sweet Song, she brings to the Jury her sharp eyes intellectually and scriptwriter. A literary eye that loves trouble.
🎬 Dieudo Hamadi (RD Congo)
A powerful documentaryist, rare and precious voice from the African continent, he turned silences into revolt. The real one only has to stand well.
🎥 Hong Sangsoo (South Korea)
Master of abym setting and troubled dialogues. The most mysterious Korean since Bong Joon-ho. Fan of approximate zooms and raw truth.
🎥 Carlos Reygadas (Mexico)
Radical aesthetic, poet of the image, he proposes a cinema where each plan is a riddle. A regular of festivals, dreaded as much as adored.
🎭 Jeremy Strong (USA)
Magnetic Actor Series SuccessionIt brings its dramatic tension and intensity to the skin. Hollywood, version HBO.

The Golden Palm 2025 will be presented during the closing ceremony broadcast live on France Télévisions and Brut. Let us remember that last year, Anora by Sean Baker, who had seduced the jury chaired by Greta Gerwig.
