Despite the global health crisis the Cannes Festival series took place!

What a pleasure to go back to Cannes after these long months of cancellation, waiting for the event « Special Cannes » organized from October 27th to 29th, which will make the part of short films.

While waiting for the selection of photos of all the actors of your favorite series that we will soon publish, here is the list of this edition. In the meantime, go see the release of certain content, the Canneseries festival, which ends on a very positive note; And live the series!

The jury of the Competition Long Series – composed of Laëtitia Eïdo (comédiienne), Grégory Fitousis (comédien), Randy Kerber (composer and musician), Roxane Mesquida (comédiienne), Caroline Proust (comédiienne et réalisatrice) and Jean-Pascal Zadi (director and actor) – and the jury of the Competition Short Series – composed of Jamie Bamber (comédien), Erin Moriarty (comédiienne) and Timothy Hochet (writer and actor) – deliberated and their choices were announced in the Grand Auditorium Louis Lumière of the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès de Cannes.

The prestigious prize for the best series was awarded to Partisan. Co-created and interpreted by the Swedish-Lebanese Fares Fares (Cairo confidential, Westworld), this polar follows Johnny, a man to do everything that gets engaged as a driver in a strange community that hides behind the promotion of a so-called healthy lifestyle, sectarian drifts.

Welcomed by the special performance prize for all of his stunning cast, but also by the high school prize, Red Light with Carice van Houten, a feminist series punching into the world of prostitution, has also marked the minds of festivalgoers.

The price of interpretation (not as traditional in Canneseries) went back to Polina Maksimova for its vibrant performance in 257 Reasons to LiveA dramatic comedy about a patient trying to rebuild herself after cancer.

French series soon broadcast on Arte, Moloch, a dark and strange story about spontaneous combustions, goes again with the price of the best scenario.
