Cannes for ever Meeting with a wonderful writer Catherine Wonderful

The Cannes Festival is always an enchanted parenthesis, a magical moment. This is what I experienced this year again in the gardens of the Grand Hotel.

Thanks to my friend Christophe Peacock, I met an amazing writer, not to say wonderful: Catherine Wonderful. It's not making up!

And this is where she presents me her last book; Cannes for ever, a title that necessarily talks to me with my 26 Cannes Festivals in the paws. I haven't read it yet, but that's what I'm gonna do tonight, instead of going to party!

Festivals until Dawn, that is to say until the first lights of dawn, on yachts, in sumptuous villas, on private beaches, in palaces such as Carlton, Martinez, Eden Roc... A festival like no other with in the background a palpable threat due to the attacks of January and November. The terrorist acts perpetrated on our territory, far from generating a psychosis or a relative chilliness, on the contrary, trigger an irresistible fury to live in most festivalgoers, especially among the protagonists of this story.

This 69th Festival was a real fireworks that forever changed their lives. People who should never have met, met, loved ones were born, lives were broken or radically changed their course... @ read in Cannes or elsewhere.

Focus on the author...

Catherine Marvelleux has been author and editor of the Marseille magazine "Le Jour et La Nuit" since 1997. After studying philosophy, she taught many years in National Education before turning to writing.
