Cannes Film Festival in 1950s-70s – Memories of Time

This year the Cannes Festival celebrates its 70th edition.

A festival that has changed dramatically since its creation in 1946.

70 years of memories, shock images, stars, scandals, which forged the legend of Cannes, the most prestigious film festival, with its legendary casting Jean-Paul Belmondo, Paul Newman, Brigitte Bardot, John Lennon, Jack Nicholson, the old ones, and the new wave that are closing on the irreplaceable boulevard de la Croisette.

At the time, the actresses, even the most prominent ones, walked around the Croisette in the midst of passers-by and offered themselves to the lens of a handful of photographers without creating riots.

A time when the stars weren't hiding behind their black glasses and moving without bodyguards. A time when a good child spirit reigned among festivalgoers. Over the years the festival has evolved deeply to become the must-see event of the 7th art, attracting every year in May on the Croisette the world's greatest stars and directors, who came up the famous marches of the Palais des Festivals and their red carpets...

If there's one thing that hasn't changed in Cannes, it's him. This mat of a bright red which were trodden by generations of filmmakers and actors. A carpet that, in a sense, also participates in the legend of Cannes. See you on May 17, 2017 to continue the adventure of the largest World Festival!
