The management of the Festival has just announced a supplement to the official selection of this 63rd Festival (The tree by Julie Bertucelli with Charlotte Gainsbourg will close)
OFFICIAL COMPETITION:
– RIZHAO CHONGQING, from the Chinese Wang Xiaoshuai
– TENDER SON – THE FRANKENSTEIN PROJECT of Kornél Mondruczó
So it's two films that add to the Competition, so there are eighteen films that compete for the Palme d'Or.

– CARANCHO, Argentinian Pablo Trapero, and I WISH I KNEW by Jia Zhang Ke
OUT OF COMPETITION:
– NICOLAE CEAUSESCU AUTOBIOGRAPHY, Romanian Andrei Ujică
– CARLOS, by French filmmaker Olivier ASSAYAS, presented in a special session.
SPECIAL MEETING:
– COUNTDOWN TO ZERO by Lucy Walker
– 5XFAVELA, directed by Carlos Diegues and composed of five short films by Brazilian directors Manaira CARNEIRO, Wagner NOVAIS, Rodrigo FELHA, Cacau AMARAL, Luciano VIDIGAL, Cadu BARCELOS, Luciana BEZERRA.
The composer, Alexandre Desplat, will join the jury of the 63rd Cannes Festival.
Iranian director Jafar Panahi, probably not released in time despite the Festival's efforts with the authorities.
