Every day you will discover a new member of the jury, today the inevitable Monica Belluci Madame Cassel, she has heavily insisted to come to Cannes to watch her husband Vincent Cassel, the master of ceremonies. Jealous the Italians?
Inseparable. Last Wednesday, it was reported that Vincent Cassel was the master of ceremonies for the opening and closing evenings of the next Cannes Festival. And in its edition this morning, the daily Le Parisien announces that the illustrious partner of the actor, Monica Belluci, will also be present on the Croisette, as a member of the jury. Information that doesn't have anything official : the composition of the jury, chaired by filmmaker Wong car wai, .
It should be noted that the Italian star, currently in Canada for a filming, has already mounted several steps of the Palace, with (Irreversible, the shock film of , Gaspar Noé in competition in 2002) or without (Suspicion in 2000, Matrix in 2003, out of competition) her husband actor. In 2003, she hosted the opening and closing evenings of the Festival.
Da Vinci Code opening the Festival de Cannes 2006
The next edition of the Cannes Film Festival, which will take place on May 17 or 28, the 59th edition, is promising.
It is the most anticipated film of the year, the «Da Vinci Code», which will open this 59th edition. And the official competition counts on big guns: the American Sofia Coppola will present its version of «Marie Antoinette», with actress Kirsten Dunst in the title role. Pedro Almodovar offers the future of his new film «Volver»In Cannes. He finds Penelope Cruz in this movie.
The conference took place on Thursday 20th. And in the background, only one goal: to reveal the list of the selected ones, and thus to put an end to the noises and rumors that shake the (minuscule) middle of the cinema.
Knowing which films will be in Cannes becomes a real obsession, including for those to whom the titles will say nothing, and who will not see the films either in Cannes or when they are released.
Go understand.

A bientôt!
