Director G. Miller, age 70, will chair the jury for the 69th edition of the Cannes Film Festival from May 11-22. A first for an Australian filmmaker.
For the first time, a representative of Australia will preside over the ceremony. But it's also a logical choice. 2015 was the year of George Miller, with the release of Mad Max Fury Road, the fourth part of this post-apocalyptic saga, praised by the public and critics.
George Miller, by his real name George Miliotis, is an Australian film director, screenwriter and producer, born March 1, 1892. in Chinchilla, Queensland.
