Adapting the successful play of Vivek Shraya and the resulting book, How to Fail as a Popstar answers this question with humour, vulnerability, a good dose of imagination and obviously, in music. The series follows the path of a racialized young queer boy growing up in Edmonton and trying to become a star, as well as everything that almost happened along the way. The whole, told from the point of view of the 40-year-old trans artist that the young boy became.
