Richard Gadd received the 2026 Konbini Commitment Award in recognition of both his artistic work and his engagement against sexual violence.
During the masterclass, he reflected on his journey from stand-up comedy to television, leading to his acclaimed one-man show and its adaptation into the global phenomenon Baby Reindeer (Netflix). He also discussed the responsibility of telling deeply personal stories through his work, such as sexual violence or masculinity.
The conversation concluded with a discussion about his HBO series Half Man, including the casting of Jamie Bell, his decision to take on one of the lead roles himself, and the physical transformation the role required.
