Les Plus belles années d’une vie, qui sort en salles en mai 2019, n’est pas la première suite d’Un homme et une femme. En 1986, Claude Lelouch avait en effet à nouveau réuni Jean-Louis Trintignant et Anouk Aimée pour Un homme et une femme : vingt ans déjà, où les deux acteurs reprenaient leurs rôles d’amants passionnés.
